Significance of Internship and Industry Expectations

School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a talk on “Significance of Internship And Industry Expectations” for fourth semester BBA students on 17^th March 2021 on Webex Platform. Mr. Jeetendra Vyas, General Manager – HR and Administration, Adani Hazira Ports Limited, was the resource person. The talk covered topics like how an internship is beneficial for students, what are the expectations from an intern, the eligibility criteria required by the organizations, the idea of having right idea and right direction, and other dimensions of an internship. The queries such as whether students should opt for their favorable internships or should follow their course requirements’ internship offers, which is the most favorable time period to take up an internship and many more questions were taken up by Sir and satisfactory clarification regarding the same was given to the students.

Webinar on Social Media Analytics

A webinar was conducted on “Social Media Analytics” by School of Business and Management for fourth semester BBA students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus on 16^th April 2021. The webinar was facilitated by Prof .Mayank Kumar, Assistant Professor, IIT Jodhpur. He spoke about the importance of social media analytics in today’s market scenario especially how the data extracted from social media adds value to the firms that use it. After giving the students a brief insight of what social media analytics is about, he explained about the buzzwords such as nodes, links, density, coefficient, diameter, Eight different layers of social media analytics and its practical application in a business environment, giving examples for each and every aspect to help students understand the practicality of the layers, different strategies employed by various terms in social media and the tools needed to do the same. After explaining the intricacies and giving students a detailed insight about social media analytics, the practical application of this type of analytics was introduced to the students. He demonstrated the how social media data can be analyzed using NodeXL. After the session students asked various questions during Q and A. Some of the most highlighted questions were
