About the Event

Christ University, Lavasa Campus, is excited to announce an Eco-Trek to Rampur Village on Sunday, September 29, 2024. This event is a unique opportunity for students to experience the beauty of nature while contributing to environmental sustainability. The trek will begin at Ekant Restaurant, and along the scenic route, participants will engage in a plastic waste collection drive to help reduce pollution in the surrounding forests.
The primary goal of the eco-trek is to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic waste and promote sustainable practices within the community. Upon reaching Rampur, students will also conduct an awareness session with local villagers, educating them on the importance of responsible waste management.
This initiative aligns with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12, SDG 13, and SDG 15, emphasizing responsible consumption, climate action, and preserving life on land. Join us in making a positive impact on the environment!
