This policy encourages socialization of students in the Institute while simultaneously discouraging and preventing any negative act by senior students. The ‘anti-ragging policy’ adopted by the University therefore is aimed at developing and nurturing a conducive, socio-academic environment on the campus. It also intends to generate and maintain a high level of confidence within new entrants and their parents/guardians to perceive that fresh entrants to the Institute are welcome and provided support, rather than being harassed and intimidated.
Punishment for Ragging:
Depending on the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti Ragging Committee of the University, those found guilty of ragging shall be liable for any one or more of the following punishment. The decision of the Anti Ragging Committee shall be final and binding.
Christ Institute of Management (CIM) to be a Ragging-Free Institution
All new students will be suitably advised at the time of registration and during orientation programs. They should not hesitate or feel shy of reporting any incident of ragging either as victim or as a witness and immediately report to any authority of the Institute. The senior students are instructed to welcome the freshers in the most appropriate manner. It is the duty of the seniors to generate a homely environment in the campus and also create a healthy academic atmosphere congenial for pursuit of studies as well as proper growth and all round development of a student.
