Dr. Jobin Francis is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. He recently completed the prestigious ERCIM Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His work at NTNU involved evaluating food quality using Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) techniques.
Dr. Francis holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. His research covers areas such as subspace clustering, unsupervised learning, and dimensionality reduction. He has over 12 years of experience in academia and industry, with numerous publications in leading journals and conferences.
Currently, his research focuses on agricultural challenges, using advanced imaging techniques to improve smart farming practices. Dr. Francis is committed to both research and education, mentoring graduate students and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects.
