Two-Part Online Workshop on Introduction to Corpus Linguistics
Corpus Linguistics is defined as the compilation and analysis of vast collections of both written and spoken texts for the purpose of outlining the nature, structure and use of languages.
This will be a two-part workshop conducted by the Department of Languages, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The resource person for the event is Mr. Yassine Iabdounane, a doctoral researcher at the Friedrich Alexander Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, who specializes in multimodality and construction grammar. He also has a series of YouTube videos discussing Corpus Linguistics.
The first session will focus on Corpus Design and Development and the second session will be about the fundamentals of annotation. Both sessions will be open to anyone who is interested; interested parties must register through the provided link.
