 About the Event

CCHS is thrilled to announce a special event on June 21, 2024, i.e. observance of International Yoga Day. International Yoga Day is celebrated annually on June 21st  to raise awareness worldwide about the benefits of practicing yoga. The day was officially recognized by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014, following a proposal by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The first International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2015. Yoga is known for its holistic benefits, improving physical strength, flexibility, and mental well-being. Celebrating this day encourages people to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.  The day aims to educate people about the various benefits of yoga, which include stress relief, improved fitness, and better mental health. By promoting yoga, the day advocates for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle, which can lead to better overall health and well-being. CCHS is celebrating International Yoga Day to highlight the importance of yoga in our daily lives. The event will feature a variety of activities and performances designed to showcase benefits of Yoga in our daily lives. The theme of the International Yoga Day 2024 is "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (Yoga for the World as One Family). Going with the essence of the theme as one family, our Faculty Yoga Experts will enlighten the students and staff community about the benefits of Yoga. Students, parents, and community members are all invited to join us in recognizing and appreciating the powerful influence of Yoga.
