About the Event

"Otium," the intra-departmental arts and sports fest, is the annual cultural and sports festival of the School of Commerce, Finance, and Accountancy. For this fest, each class department class forms teams, with the class in charge serving as the mentor for the team. Each class will have a captain who will be a member of the core committee for the event. The other members of the core committee will include the Head of Department (HoD), Program Coordinator, Event Coordinator, and a student representative from the Media and Documentation Committee.
This fest will consist of two parts: sports events and cultural events. Both events will be based on a point system. On the last day of the event, the committee will announce the overall winner, the best sports team, and the best cultural team.

For sports, the following events are proposed:
Football (Mixed)
Basketball (Mixed)
Cricket (Mixed)
Volleyball (Boys)
Throwball (Girls)
Badminton (Doubles & Mixed Doubles)
Tug of War
8xPool
Arm Wrestling
Half Marathon
Relay
Table Tennis

For arts day each class (team) will be given 20 minutes of time. The team can decide what all cultural programs can be included in the 20 minutes. The marks will be given for the utilisation of time, quality of the program and participation. Also, on the cultural day each class can set up a food stall for a cuisine (list of cuisine will be given to the committee) along with a campfire.

During the sports day Centre for Social Action is welcome to set up a food stall as part of their fundraising, but a certain percentage has to be paid to the school of Commerce, Finance & Accountancy.
