Disaster Risk Reduction

Environmental Law Committee of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus is hosting a talk on “Disaster Risk Reduction” by Mr. Saurabh Singh, Deputy Director, State Disaster Management Authority, Home Ministry, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh and Mr. Jayant Roushan, Sr. Chemical Consultant, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home affairs. The talk is curated to give an insight into the genesis of disaster management in India, the legal provisions associated with it, and the organizational setups, along with practical examples from the speaker’s experiences.
