Workshop on Research Methodology

Workshop on Research Methodology will be organized for IV semester students of BCOM-Financial Analytics to work towards their final year Research Project. During this workshop, students will be working on the following areas:

(i)    Identifying the research problem(s), where students will understand the different types of the research problem and the process of identifying the research problem.
(ii)   Finalizing the title of the research project, where students will identify key factors and major variables to consider.
(iii)   Formulation of Research Questions, where students will understand a research question, types of the research question(s) and how to design a research question.
(iv)   Hypothesis formulation, where students will understand what a hypothesis is, its types, and the process of developing a research hypothesis.
(v)   How to write a Literature review, where students will learn the rationale behind writing a literature review, various sources, what to read, what to cite, ways of citing and consolidating the findings
This workshop will be primarily based on hand-on-exercises where students will learn by doing various case-based activities.
