National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

On the occasion of "National Human Trafficking Awareness day ", School of Law is organising an In-house panel discussion on 11th January, 2022 from 4 PM to 5 PM to facilitate awareness and a sense of responsibility among the students over the concerned issue. National Human Trafficking Awareness Day celebrated on January 11th every year, brings attention to a crime that leaves a lasting toll on human life, families, and communities around the world. Human trafficking is considered a modern form of slavery. This illegal act involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain labor or sex. Traffickers use violence, manipulation, or false promises to lure their victims into trafficking situations. The Victims undergo physical and psychological abuse. It is important for the student community to be aware of the different issues raised by this concern as the presence of human trafficking exploits humans who are vulnerable. Humans are transported, recruited, harbored against their will and this violates their human rights. Therefore, the commemoration of this day is essential to facilitate awareness and a sense of responsibility.
