The Department of English and Cultural studies is organising an awareness of DH program titled Text Meets Tech: A Beginner’s Guide to Digital Humanities for Haribhai V. Desai College, Pune undergraduate students on 13 March 2026. The event aims to introduce students to the field of Digital Humanities (DH) and highlight its growing relevance within academic and professional environments. Through an engaging introductory session and student-led project showcases, participants will gain insight into the tools, methods, and interdisciplinary approaches that shape DH work today. The programme will demonstrate how humanities research intersects with digital technologies, equipping students with valuable analytical, technical, and creative skills. It will also offer an opportunity to explore real-world applications of DH and understand potential academic and career pathways in the field. By increasing awareness of ongoing DH initiatives within the department, the event seeks to strengthen the visibility of the programme and encourage wider interest in postgraduate opportunities among students and their academic networks.
