The Department of Statistics & Data Science, School of Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, is organizing a special session titled “Fundamental Rights in the Digital Era: A Reflection on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 134th Birth Anniversary” for first-year undergraduate students. The event aims to promote constitutional awareness among students by highlighting the fundamental rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution and their growing relevance in today’s digital age.
As part of its vision to foster informed and responsible citizenship, the programme also serves as a commemoration of the enduring contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The session will be delivered by Dr. Sanjay Satyanarayan Bang, Associate Professor, School of Law, who will provide valuable insights into constitutional values, digital rights, and contemporary challenges. Scheduled for 17th April 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Room 1128, Central Block, the event seeks to encourage critical thinking and a deeper understanding of constitutional principles among young learners while honoring Ambedkar’s vision of justice, equality, and dignity.
