The Library & Information Center, in association with the School of Law, is organizing an offline training session titled “Mastering Legal Research with LexisNexis: A Training Session” on 18th April 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Auditorium, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The session will be conducted by Ms.Sarika Patnaik.
This session aims to provide participants with practical exposure to the LexisNexis database, a leading digital platform for legal research. It will cover key features such as case law search, statutory research, legal updates, citation tools, and advanced search techniques. Participants will learn how to efficiently retrieve accurate and relevant legal information, thereby enhancing both their academic and professional research capabilities.The primary objectives of the session include strengthening legal research skills, familiarizing participants with advanced tools and filters, and promoting the effective utilization of digital legal resources. Additionally, the session seeks to enhance the quality of academic writing, case analysis, and legal drafting.
The expected outcomes include improved efficiency in conducting legal research, enhanced analytical and drafting skills, and increased confidence in using digital legal databases. The event will require support for publicity, technical arrangements, and refreshments.
