Introduction
The Department of Languages, School of Arts and Humanities, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus is launching the pilot project “Story Mapping Lavasa” on 16th Jan 2024. The instagram page will be launched on 15th Jan 2024.
The first year students of Masters in English with Digital Humanities along with the faculty members of the Department of Languages will present the aims, objectives and rationale behind the Digital Humanities project. The students will also share their experiences of collecting stories as part of their CIAs. Dr Shobana P Mathews, HoD, Department of English and Cultural Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore will join online to address the students. The goal of the project is to create a digital archive of the city composed primarily of the untold stories of the residents/migrants of Lavasa which can be used for historiographical as well as research purposes. The project incorporates SDG Goal 11 i.e. Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The session is open to all students, faculty and staff members who seek to know more about the project.
