Build-it! is a comprehensive skill-enhancement initiative hosted by the Department of Computer Science, Pune Lavasa Campus, as part of the BCA301-3: Mobile Applications course. Supported by Google for Education and Android, the programme brings together three interconnected learning experiences—ComposeCamp, a Networking and Workflow Management workshop, and the App-a-thon. Build-it! aims to strengthen students’ understanding of modern app development, team collaboration, and end-to-end deployment practices. Sessions are led by experts including Dr Gobi R (Associate Head, Department of Computer Science), Dr Naived Eapen (Assistant Professor), Samuel Alex Koshy (Android Developer), and Shriganesh Purohit (Team Lead, Google Developer Student Clubs). The Mobile Application Development Event Series brings together a curated set of learning experiences designed to strengthen students’ technical competence, collaborative capabilities, and real-world problem-solving skills. Spanning multiple days, the series integrates structured upskilling sessions, a collaboration and workflow workshop, and an intensive App-a-thon focused on building purpose-driven applications aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop is designed towards the Skill Development of the third semester students pursuing Bachelor of Computer Applications course. Students gain exposure to modern development frameworks, effective teamwork strategies, and end-to-end application workflows, supported by industry practitioners and faculty mentors.
