Internal Quality Assurance Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell in CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was established on 03 November 2003. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of CHRIST. For this, during the post-accreditation period, it channelizes all efforts and measures of the Institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.

IQAC drives continuous quality enhancement through academic excellence, institutional best practices, learner-centric initiatives, and outcome-focused quality assurance systems.

Quality Assurance Framework

Functions

The functional activities of IQAC at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) include:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities.
  • Facilitating a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development.
  • Arranging feedback mechanisms from students, parents, and stakeholders on institutional quality processes.
  • Dissemination of information related to quality parameters in higher education.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars, and quality-focused institutional programmes.
  • Documentation of programmes and activities contributing to quality enhancement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities and best practices.
  • Development and maintenance of institutional databases through MIS systems.
  • Promotion and development of quality culture within the institution.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with NAAC guidelines.
  • Ensuring clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
  • Ensuring internalization of quality culture across all academic and administrative practices.
  • Enhancing coordination among institutional activities and institutionalizing good practices.
  • Providing a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
  • Acting as a dynamic system for quality transformation within the institution.
  • Building organized methodologies for documentation and internal communication.

Objectives

    The primary objectives of IQAC at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) shall be:

    • Developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the Institution.
    • Promotion of measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
    • Ensuring
    1. Timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
    2. Relevance and quality for academic and research programmes.
    • Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
    • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
    • Assuring and enhancing the credibility of evaluation procedures.
    • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
    • Sharing of research findings and networking with other Institutions in India and Abroad.
