The Library and Information Centre, in collaboration with The Readers’ Club, School of Sciences, and School of Law, is organizing the Book Review Competition 2025 on 28th November 2025. The event aims to promote reading habits, critical thinking, and articulate
expression among students, faculty, and staff members by engaging them with books that inspire learning and reflection. Participants will present oral reviews of books of their choice, showcasing their ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate the essence and impact of the selected work. The competition offers a creative platform for participants to explore a wide range of literary genres, including fiction, biographies, academic texts, and motivational literature. Through this initiative, participants will not only enhance their comprehension, analytical,
and presentation skills but also motivate their peers to cultivate a lifelong love for reading. The event will be evaluated on parameters such as content understanding, clarity of expression, originality of thought, and overall presentation. The Book Review Competition 2025 serves as a dynamic platform to promote intellectual discussion and literary appreciation within the university, reinforcing the library’s role as a hub of knowledge and creativity. By fostering critical reflection and creative expression, the event aims to nurture communication skills, confidence, and appreciation for literature. To recognize and encourage participants’ talent, attractive prizes worth ₹5,000 will be awarded to the best performers, inspiring a vibrant reading culture within the university community.
