The Plantation Project, to be initiated on 16th January, is a long-term sustainability initiative led by the SDG Cell, Christ University Lavasa, aimed at strengthening ecological balance and environmental responsibility on campus. The project focuses on planting native, perennial, and fruit-bearing saplings that support biodiversity, attract birds, and contribute to a self-sustaining green ecosystem.
A unique feature of this initiative is the Birthday Plantation Model, where students, faculty, and staff plant a sapling on their birthdays any special event , creating a personal and emotional connection with nature. Each plant will be identified and monitored for long-term care, promoting accountability and environmental awareness.
