The Department of English and Cultural Studies proposes an industry visit to the Godrej Archives titled Beyond the Blueprint: The Art of Corporate Storytelling. This academic engagement is designed to introduce students to the practices and philosophies of corporate archiving, highlighting how organizations construct, preserve, and narrate institutional memory. The visit will enable students to understand how archives function beyond storage, as dynamic spaces of storytelling, branding, heritage preservation, and knowledge production.
Through guided sessions with archival professionals, students will explore curatorial strategies, documentation processes, digital preservation methods, and the ethical dimensions of corporate history-making. The experience will bridge literary and cultural studies with industry practices, demonstrating how narrative, memory, and material culture intersect within corporate contexts. Aligned with NEP 2020’s emphasis on experiential learning and industry interface, this visit will broaden students’ understanding of archives as cultural texts and encourage critical engagement with the politics and aesthetics of corporate storytelling.
