The Global Innovation Hackathon 2026, hosted by Seton Hall University, will take place on March 21–22, 2026, bringing together students from diverse academic backgrounds to collaborate on innovative solutions to real-world challenges. This year’s event features an international collaboration with CHRIST (Deemed to be University), India, where two teams from the MBA program at the School of Business and Management will participate remotely, adding a strong global and cross-cultural dimension to the competition.
The 24-hour hackathon provides students with an immersive, hands-on experience to apply their knowledge across data science, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, social impact, and sports innovation. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop ideas, prototypes, or business solutions under the guidance of faculty mentors, industry experts, and alumni.
No prior technical background is required, as training workshops will be conducted before the event to help participants prepare. The hackathon promotes innovation, collaboration, and global learning while preparing students for today’s technology-driven business environment.
