The Public Policy and Governance Committee of the School of Law is set to organise SansadX, the first edition of the Mock Parliamentary Election at Christ ( Deemed to be University ) Pune, Lavasa, this April. It is an immersive initiative designed to bring constitutional principles to life for students. SansadX bridges the gap between theory and practice by simulating the real workings of a democratic election.
Through this program, students will engage in roles such as election officials, political party candidates, and journalists, gaining firsthand experience in electoral administration, enforcement of ethical standards, and political campaigning. The simulation emphasises key legal competencies, including statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance, advocacy, and accountability.
By recreating the dynamics of free and fair elections, SansadX inculcates a deeper understanding of the electoral process and the rule of law. It thereby equips future legal professionals with practical skills and a strong commitment to constitutional values and informed civic leadership.
