The School of Sciences is organizing an engaging session on 12 September 2025, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM , in Room No 1118, Central Block, titled “Ancient Wisdom, Modern Learning – A Living Expression of the Indian Knowledge System through Vedic Mathematics.” The resource person for the session is Mr. P. Devaraj, Vedic Maths Trainer from Cosmic Maths Foundations.
This programme is designed for students of the School of Sciences, particularly those pursuing Computer Science and Data Science, to explore how the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) offers valuable insights for modern computational thinking. Vedic Mathematics fosters algorithmic efficiency, pattern recognition, and logical structuring—skills integral to programming, cryptography, and data analytics. The session will demonstrate how ancient methods can complement contemporary scientific approaches, enhancing problem-solving speed, clarity of thought, and innovation. By bridging traditional knowledge with cutting-edge disciplines, the event aims to cultivate a deeper appreciation of India’s intellectual heritage in shaping future technologies.
