Elizabeth Varkey holds an MPhil from the University of Delhi. She is currently an Assistant Professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Lavasa and is pursuing her PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University. She was awarded the Israeli Council for Higher Education scholarship to study Conflict Resolution at Bar Ilan University, Israel. She has worked briefly at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, New Delhi. She has co-edited the book Defenses of Clay: The Book of Job
