Activities of the Department of Statistics and Data Science, School of Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, aimed at connecting academic knowledge with the needs of society through outreach, awareness, learning and collaborative engagement.
The initiative provides a platform for the University to engage with schools, parents, local communities and other stakeholders through educational outreach, scientific awareness, environmental initiatives and community-oriented activities. It brings together faculty expertise, student participation and interdisciplinary knowledge to promote social responsibility and make learning relevant to real-world challenges.
The initiative encompasses a range of programmes and activities, including VidyalAI, an awareness campaign on cyber safety, digital wellbeing and emerging career opportunities; the Science Day Exhibition, which invites school students to explore scientific models, innovations and the academic activities of the School; and Earth Day initiatives, which promote environmental awareness.
