The Department of Computer Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa, is committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate education that responds to the rapidly evolving technological and societal landscape. The department emphasizes strong theoretical foundations, practical application, ethical computing, and interdisciplinary learning, in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Through a learner-centric and research-oriented approach, the department prepares students to address complex real-world challenges using technology-driven solutions. The department offers undergraduate programmes including the Bachelor of Computer Applications (Honours / Honours with Research) and the BSc (Psychology, Computer Science) (Honours / Honours with Research) dual major programme. While the BCA programme focuses on core computing competencies such as programming, software development, data structures, algorithms, and emerging technologies, the dual major programme integrates computational intelligence with psychological science. This interdisciplinary framework enables students to understand human cognition, behaviour, and decision-making alongside data analytics, artificial intelligence, and computing systems. The curriculum across programmes is designed to balance theory with experiential learning. Students gain exposure to advanced domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Blockchain, Human–Computer Interaction, and Cognitive Analytics. In today’s rapidly evolving digital era, Computer Science drives transformative advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, and beyond. Equally, the integration of psychology with computing has opened new frontiers in areas such as Cognitive Science, Behavioral Analytics, Human–Computer Interaction, Computational Psychology, User Experience (UX) Design, and Mental Health Technologies. At CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, we offer a dynamic and experiential learning environment that goes beyond textbooks. Our department now offers two undergraduate programmes: the Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications (BCA / Honours / Honours with Research) and the BSc (Psychology, Computer Science) – Honours / Honours with Research.
