The Library and Information Centre, in collaboration with The Readers Club, is pleased to organize an engaging event titled “Books in Search of Readers” on 15th and 16th October 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Quadrangle, Central Block on 15th October and the Amphitheatre, Management Block on 16th October. It is designed for students, faculty, and staff members of the university. The primary aim of the event is to promote reading habits by showcasing hidden gems, popular titles, lesser-known works, and new arrivals from the library’s collection. By connecting readers with unexplored books, the event encourages participants to expand their reading interests beyond academic texts. Attendees will have opportunities to browse, borrow, and share reflections on their chosen books, fostering an interactive and vibrant reading culture. The objectives include promoting reading as a lifelong pursuit, enhancing library engagement through creative and visually appealing displays, and offering meaningful intellectual relaxation during the Diwali vacation. Expected outcomes include increased circulation of library books, heightened awareness of available resources, and a strengthened campus-wide reading culture. In conclusion, “Books in Search of Readers” underscores the library’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, knowledge, and enjoyment through reading. This initiative aspires to inspire the university community to discover new literary companions, celebrate the joy of reading, and make the festive season intellectually enriching and engaging.
