Safer Internet Day is observed globally to promote the safe, responsible, and ethical use of digital technology among individuals of all age groups. In today’s technology-driven world, students and professionals are constantly connected through social media platforms, online learning systems, communication applications, and virtual communities. While these digital spaces offer immense opportunities for learning, networking, and self-expression, they also pose several risks related to privacy, cyberbullying, misinformation, online harassment, and digital addiction.
In view of these emerging challenges, the Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) is organizing “Click with Care”, an interactive session by KT Thomas, aimed at enhancing awareness about digital well-being and online safety. Scheduled to be held on 11th February 2026, the session is designed for students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
The event will focus on key aspects such as cyber safety, responsible online behavior, setting healthy digital boundaries, understanding digital footprints, and managing online interactions effectively. Through real-life case studies, practical examples, and open discussions, participants will gain insights into how their online actions influence their personal, academic, and professional lives. The session will also address issues related to cyberbullying, identity theft, online scams, and emotional distress caused by negative digital experiences.
“Click with Care” aims to create a supportive platform where individuals can openly share their concerns, clarify doubts, and learn practical strategies to protect themselves in the digital environment. It encourages participants to develop critical thinking skills, empathy, and accountability while engaging in online spaces. By promoting respectful communication and ethical internet usage, the program seeks to strengthen the digital culture within the campus community.
The overarching objective of the event is to empower individuals to become responsible digital citizens who are aware of their rights and responsibilities in the virtual world. It reinforces the importance of balancing technology use with mental and emotional well-being and highlights the role of conscious digital engagement in building a safer, healthier, and more inclusive online ecosystem.
