The Library and Information Center, in association with the School of Sciences, proposes to organize a Hands-on Training Session on IEEE–IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (CSDL) on 27th March 2026 (Saturday), from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Auditorium, Central Block. The session is intended for students, faculty members, and staff of the School of Sciences. The primary aim of this training program is to familiarize participants with the effective use of IEEE–CSDL, a premier digital resource offering access to high-quality journals, conference proceedings,
magazines, and technical papers. The session will provide practical, hands-on exposure through live demonstrations, enabling participants to perform basic and advanced searches, apply filters, access full- text documents, export citations in IEEE and APA styles, and set up personalized research alerts. Special emphasis will also be placed on identifying trending research topics and promoting ethical use of digital resources.
The session seeks to enhance research competencies by improving participants’ ability to conduct systematic literature searches and effectively utilize subscribed e-resources. It also aims to strengthen academic writing skills and support publication readiness among faculty members and students. The expected outcomes include improved skills in accessing and evaluating scholarly information, increased usage of IEEE resources, better understanding of citation management tools, and greater awareness of ethical research practices. Overall, this initiative will contribute significantly to enhancing research output, academic excellence, and digital literacy, while aligning with institutional quality standards such as NIRF, NAAC, NBA, and AICTE.
