The Asian Parliamentary Debate Scheduled for 12th and 13th September (Online) and 3rd and 4th October (Offline) is the Debate and Literary Committee's flagship event aiming at competitive debating, which will help foster critical thinking, research skills, and the ability to persuasively communicate complex ideas. Peitho Cup 2026 will provide a national-level platform for students to engage in structured arguments, develop spontaneity in speech, and enhance their ability to construct logical narratives, making them effective communicators and leaders. It will provide a platform that nurtures skills necessary for students, such as legal argumentation, breakdown of complex issues and structured rebuttals, making it an essential event for future lawyers, policymakers, and public speakers. The Asian Parliamentary debate requires speakers to develop quick thinking and counterarguments in a pressured environment due to limited preparation time. 

Alongside the Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition, the Entertainment and Media Law Committee will be conducting the Reporter’s Showdown - a unique twist to the debate competition wherein the teams will be faced with a panel of reporters, all of whom are determined to stump the speakers with their questions. The reporters will also be submitting a written news article. This addition to the debate competition will force the debaters to think on their feet, and the reporter to ask innovative questions and write convincing articles.
