The Library & Information Centre, in association with The Readers Club, is organising “Books in Search of Readers” on 28 August 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Amphitheatre, Management Block. The initiative aims to bring books beyond the conventional library space and closer to students and faculty members. A curated collection of fiction, non-fiction, subject-related books, new arrivals, and recommended titles will be displayed, giving participants the opportunity to browse, discover, and select books according to their academic interests, hobbies, and personal reading preferences. Where applicable, students will also have the opportunity for on the spot borrowing, subject to library rules and borrowing privileges.
The event seeks to promote regular reading habits, increase awareness and utilization of library collections, encourage students to explore diverse books beyond their regular academic interests, and strengthen the connection between readers and the Library & Information Centre. By bringing books to an accessible, high-footfall location on campus, the initiative creates an informal and engaging environment for students to interact with books and the library team.
“Books in Search of Readers” is a step towards building a vibrant reading culture on campus, encouraging students to discover, read, borrow, and recommend books. The event will be coordinated by Team Library and Team The Readers Club.
