The Readers Club proposes to organize “Meet & Greet – Readers Connect” on 5 September 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gazebo, Central Block for newly joined Readers Club members. The programme is designed as an interactive and informal gathering to help members introduce themselves, connect with fellow readers, share their reading interests, favourite books, authors, and genres, and exchange book recommendations.

A key highlight of the event will be an inspiring talk by Prof. Vijay Sonavane, an experienced HR professional with extensive experience across renowned MNCs, on “Read to Rise: Unlocking Opportunities Through Reading.” The session will focus on how reading can enhance knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills, personal development, continuous learning, and career opportunities.

The programme will also introduce members to the objectives, activities, upcoming events, and future plans of The Readers Club and encourage them to actively participate in future initiatives. As part of the welcome programme, Readers Club badges will be distributed to newly joined members as a symbol of their membership and belonging to the club.

The event will help strengthen the Readers Club community, encourage meaningful interaction among members, and promote a vibrant reading culture on campus. The expected outcomes include stronger member engagement, increased interest in reading and book discussions, greater awareness of the role of reading in personal and professional growth, and increased participation in Readers Club activities.
