The Department of Commerce, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, is organising an industry guest lecture on “Alternative Investments: Private Equity, Venture Capital & Fund Modelling” for fourth-year BCom Financial Analytics students on 12 September 2026.

The session will be led by Mr. Apoorv Gairola, Associate Director, UBS, Pune, a finance and strategy professional with experience across venture capital, corporate finance, startups, investments and fundraising.

Designed to bridge classroom learning with industry practice, the session will explore the evolution of alternative investments, private equity decision-making, venture capital, fund structures and practical fund modelling. Through an interactive quiz, case discussion and hands-on modelling exercise, students will gain exposure to real-world investment thinking, risk-return considerations and professional decision-making.

The session aims to strengthen analytical skills, industry awareness and career readiness while enabling students to interact directly with an experienced finance practitioner.
