The Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) is proud to launch the 7th Batch of the Peer Education Program on the 18th of September, 2026, in the Smart Room, Central Block. This initiative aims to empower students through imparting essential skills in peer mentoring, mental health awareness, and leadership. Peer Educators play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment on campus, by guiding their peers, encouraging open conversations, and promoting emotional well-being. Through active listening and resource-sharing, they help students navigate academic and personal challenges.
This program not only enhances the mental health support system within the university, but also cultivates empathy, a sense of responsibility, confidence and self-assuredness among the participants. Peer educators therefore play a key role in the student body. On this day, we’ll be welcoming the new batch of Peer Educators and recognizing their dedication to creating a healthier and more connected student community.
