On October 3, 2026, the Centre for Social Action (CSA), the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and the School of Sciences at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, will host a joint collaborative awareness and capacity-building initiative in partnership with the social-impact organisation The Movement India.

The upcoming programme will commence with an official launch of the initiative and an introductory awareness session on human trafficking and its relevance in India, alongside the felicitation of 15 dedicated student leaders. This will be followed by an intensive, practice-oriented Cyber Safety – Train-the-Trainer Programme led by a visiting expert delegation including Director Mr Earnest D'Costa and Educational Partnerships Head Mrs Preeti Chatterjee. The training will equip students—particularly those from Computer Science and other tech disciplines within the School of Sciences—with vital digital literacy tools, resources, and frameworks to recognise stages of online grooming, navigate digital threats, and independently cascade cyber safety awareness across their campus and local communities.
