Sportalytics 4.0, organised by the Department of Statistics and Data Science and the Department of Computer Science, is a campus-wide sports meet designed to counter the screen fatigue and sedentary routines common among Computer Science and Statistics & Data Science students. Football, basketball, and volleyball competitions, along with a ceremonial march past, bring undergraduate and postgraduate students together in mixed-batch teams: Fireballs, Ravens, Celestials, Elixir, and Mosaic. This structure breaks down departmental and cohort silos and encourages senior–junior mentorship.

Beyond physical well-being, the event gives students hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, crisis management, event operations, and strategic decision-making, skills that technical curricula rarely teach directly. In collaboration with the Department of Physical Education, it also serves as a platform to identify talented athletes for inter-collegiate, university, and state-level representation.

Aligned with CHRIST (Deemed to be University)’s vision of holistic intellectual, physical, social, and moral development, Sportalytics 4.0 encourages full participation of students and faculty, promoting active lifestyles, sportsmanship, and lasting institutional unity.
