The Readers Club, MacGuffin, and the Library and Information Center of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, will organize “Tumbbad: Enter the World of Horror & Fantasy” on 30 October 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Auditorium, Central Block. The event aims to promote reading habits among students and staff by connecting cinema with literature. The film Tumbbad, which blends Indian folklore, mythology, horror, and fantasy, will inspire participants to explore similar themes through books. Following the screening, members of The Readers Club and the library team will introduce selected horror and fantasy books available in the library and encourage participants to visit and borrow books of their interest. The initiative aims to increase awareness and utilization of library resources, promote recreational reading beyond academic requirements, and encourage literary exploration. It will also strengthen collaboration among the organising groups, enhance student participation in library activities, and foster a vibrant reading culture by connecting cinematic experiences with the fascinating world of books and storytelling.
