CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa campus organized its first Inter-Collegiate Sports Fest - CHRI-SPO (Lavasa) from 14th to 16th February 2020. Nearly 350 participants from various parts of the country participated in Football, Basketball, and Badminton. Over the period of the three-day tournament, participants displayed an enthusiastic effort, teamwork, discipline, determination, and true sportsmanship on and off the field.
Crescedent - The annual sports day was organized on 17th and 18th January 2020. Nearly 400 students participated and were sorted into 8 houses for various events. Individual championships were won by Ashwabh Dhawan of B.Com and Shruthi Rastogi of MBA. Red House won the overall championship. Additionally, events were organized for the teaching and non-teaching staff to spread the spirit of sportsmanship.
‘Sports Wizard’ is an online Sports Quiz competition conducted for the students on 1st June 2020 for 2nd-year students, and on 8th August 2020 for 1st-year students. The quiz had 5 rounds with multiple-choice questions, pictures, and videos. The quiz was conducted on a Webex platform and Google form. Almost 150 students from the 2nd year and around 75 students from the 1st year participated.
Virtual Run is a running event conducted on 2nd October 2020 on the special occasion of Gandhi Jayanti for all the students and staff of the Lavasa campus. Participants had the opportunity to participate from wherever they were, using their phones as the tracker. 75 participants joined the virtual event, showcasing their passion for sports through challenging times.
A number of sports activities were conducted for the staff members of the Lavasa campus to spread the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. Around 150 staff members participated in various sports events organized by the Department of Physical Education.
CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa campus organized its second Annual Inter-Collegiate Sports Festival - CHRI-SPO (Lavasa) from 30th April to 3rd May 2022, with over 500 participants from various parts of the country. Events included Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, and Table Tennis. The event was inaugurated by Fr. Arun Antony Chully, and the Chief Guest was Harshh Verma, India’s first Shaolin Warrior Monk.
The Department of Physical Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized the University’s Annual Inter-Departmental Sports and Athletics Meet 2022, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents, compete with team spirit, and push their limits. The meet was organized from 7th to 11th June 2022, with cultural performances and cheering by students who may not consider themselves athletic.
The Department of Physical Education, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized the University’s Hydra Athletics Meet 2022, featuring indoor sports and games to engage students during the monsoon season. The event, held from 29th August to 7th September 2022, encouraged students to try new sports and reflect their grit, vigor, and competitive spirit.
