COMMITTEES & WINGS OF CAPS

1. One-on-One Peer Training (OOPT)

CAPS offers personalized academic and professional support through its One-on-One Peer Training wing. Students approach CAPS with specific challenges or goals, and trained peer mentors design tailored sessions to meet individual learning needs.

  • Focuses on confidence-building, communication, and professional readiness
  • Encourages peer-to-peer collaboration in a private, supportive setting
  • Ideal for resume building, presentation skills, interview preparation, and academic guidance
2. Group Peer Training (GPT)

Designed for collaborative skill-sharing, GPT facilitates department-wide or class-specific sessions on relevant academic and professional topics.

  • Sessions are based on a quarterly needs analysis conducted with departments
  • Emphasizes shared learning, teamwork, and peer engagement
  • Custom modules developed in collaboration with the Content Quality team
3. Connect Wide

This wing serves as CAPS’ interface with the external world, enhancing learning through industry exposure, alumni interactions, and expert-led events.

  • Organizes guest lectures, leadership talks, and collaborative workshops
  • Builds strategic relationships with industry professionals and alumni
  • Manages the flagship Bridging Horizons mentorship program, connecting students with alumni mentors for monthly professional guidance
4. Public Relations and Media (PR & Media)

Responsible for building and maintaining a strong digital and visual identity for CAPS. This committee ensures that CAPS' activities are well-publicized and resonate with the university community.

  • Manages CAPS’ social media platforms, event promotions, and outreach
  • Designs marketing campaigns, posters, reels, and announcements
  • Captures and edits visual content (photos/videos) for events
  • Ensures all promotional content aligns with CAPS branding guidelines
5. Content Generation and Quality Check (CG-QC)

This committee creates high-quality training and communication content, ensuring that it meets academic and professional standards.

  • Drafts session materials, training modules, workshop content, and internal documents
  • Conducts thorough quality checks for accuracy, originality, and relevance
  • Maintains consistency with CAPS’ style and tone
  • Supports other teams in scriptwriting, document formatting, and editing
6. Research Committee

The Research team plays a crucial role in data-driven decision-making and academic support.

  • Conducts regular needs analyses to identify training gaps and new learning areas
  • Assists students with research methodology, proposal writing, and publishing
  • Provides data and analytical support for CAPS projects and impact assessments
  • Promotes a research-oriented culture within student-led initiatives
