What we do

Student Programmes

Student Programs promote students' overall development through a variety of activities organized under several wings. It encourages students to be socially responsible citizens while also instilling a sense of environmental responsibility.

The four wings of CSA are:

Activity centre

Educate. Inculcate. Motivate

The Activity Center (AC) focuses on the general development of students as well as the community surrounding the institution. Volunteers make an effort to provide enjoyable activities and improved learning opportunities for the children, students, and older persons in our project locations.
Students at the activity centre work on various projects that benefit society. Students launched the following projects:

  • Project Bridge

The mission of Project Bridge is to assist the educational ambitions of the children of the housekeeping workers at Christ (Deemed to be University) Pune, Lavasa. The fundamental purpose of the initiative is to provide students with the opportunity to help children in need by sharing their expertise.

  • Project Pradhan

Pradhan is Marathi for "provide." The project's goal was to provide vital products to neighborhood youngsters and those in need. The major goal is to gather stationery things such as clothes, books, and any other materials from students and faculty that may be beneficial to community members.

  • Project Arogya

Project Arogya is being launched to give nutritious food to the student body. This project aims to assist students in developing and maintaining healthy eating habits. The primary goal of the initiative is to educate and promote a healthy lifestyle in the community by providing medical services and nutritional meals.

  • Project Sahithya

The mission of Project Sahitya is to provide learning opportunities to the housekeeping staff of Christ (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. In Marathi, sahitya signifies literature. The goal of this initiative is to increase the Housekeeping staff's English communication abilities. This allows them to communicate with students, faculty members, and others more quickly. This will also empower them and make them feel acknowledged or respected by the institution, resulting in a positive working atmosphere.

Prayatna

Sensitize. Empower. Sustain

Prayatna, which means "effort," refers to an endeavor to create a more sustainable world. Volunteers participate in nature hikes, clean-up drives, animal shelter visits, and a variety of other projects.
Some Prayatna projects attempt to safeguard the environment and build a more sustainable future.

  • Project Prithvi

Prithvi means "Earth" in Marathi. The initiative tries to conserve the soil while simultaneously encouraging afforestation. This will assist the student body in developing a feeling of living an environmentally conscious existence.

  • Project Nila

Project Nila was started to safeguard the water bodies surrounding the campus. The initiative primarily promotes water conservation and the rehabilitation of aquatic bodies.

This project's three main goals are to reuse, reduce, and recycle. The project's primary goal is to eliminate plastic trash in the environment and maintain the town clean. It is accomplished through cleaning initiatives and other activities.

Drishti

Act. React. Impact

Drishti primarily raises awareness through street theater. They ACT TO HAVE AN IMPACT.
Regardless of prior experience, the volunteers are exposed to theater and taught the skill of acting for social change. Volunteers first educate themselves on social concerns before creating plays based on them.

Media & Communication

Learn. Express. Reform

Communication and the Media Wing uses media to educate people about many social concerns. Volunteers also use writing, photography, and videography to capture events and promote the organization's work. The wing is also in charge of the CSA website and social media accounts.

  • Project Ranga

This project is an effort put forward to the student community to help beautify the town. It aims at creating awareness to the kids and people around the community about various social concerns via the means of painting the walls.

  • Project See Through

Project See-through is a collaboration between Drishti and the CSA Media & Communication Wing that focuses on creating advertising, short films, and other media that raise awareness and address social concerns.

Child Sponsorship Programme

Education is the fundamental right of a citizen. ‘Educate a Child’ sponsorship Programme, was the first initiative of CSA to create a sense of responsibility towards society among the student community. The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the lives of underprivileged children and families from tribal and backward areas. Students will help to the development of poor youngsters and offer them with useful educational resources through this initiative. Aside from University students, corporates and individuals also donate to the children's sponsorship.

The Future Through CSP
CSA provides financial help to selected sponsored students to pursue higher education at various schools or universities, based on their socioeconomic background. Some of the students that graduated from CSP are in well-paying jobs. While some work for software firms, others work as accountants, dance choreographers, and so on. The Educate A Child Sponsorship Program has enabled them to live a dignified life and given them hope for a brighter future.

Community Development Programme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is the CSA's cornerstone for community development programmes. Through community development initiatives, CSA hopes to motivate women to be self-sufficient, socially active, and politically and economically involved. The improved quality of life for women, children, and the community has resulted in significant and numerous beneficial improvements.
