About the event 

Our democracy relies on a strong judiciary to safeguard our rights. This event, "The Role of Judicial Review in Upholding Constitutional Rights", will explore these topics. This event is led by legal scholar Dr. Aneesh V Pillai, who is an Assistant Professor at the School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. This event dives into judicial review, a process where courts examine laws and actions of other branches to ensure they comply with the Constitution. This event will be held on 3rd May 2014 (Friday) at Smart Room, Management Block, Christ Deemed to be University, Pune Lavasa Campus from 3:30 pm onwards.
