The BCom programme provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and various specialized operations such as accounting, finance, marketing and human resource by offering a comprehensive curriculum.
The three year BCom degree programme is divided into six semesters and is designed as per the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) model curriculum prescribed by UGC. It includes core papers, discipline specific electives, generic electives and skill enhancement courses. Discipline specific electives offered in the fifth and the sixth semesters. The blend of the courses to the analytics curriculum is the highlight of the program.

ADMISSIONS FOR BCOM FINANCIAL ANALYTICS IS OPEN FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

Candidates falling under any of the below mentioned categories must apply under the International Student Category:

  • Foreign citizens,
  • PIO card holders and
  • OCI (Dual Citizens)

International students coming from Non-English speaking countries should:

  • Produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or
  • Have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores

Candidates without the above pre-qualifications will have to enroll either for

  • Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or
  • One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

Students who fall under any of the following classifications, at the time of application may apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the course.

  • NRI defined under the Indian Income Tax Law
  • Either of the parents is outside India (except Nepal) on Work Permit / Resident Permit.
  • Indian citizen financed by any Institution /  agency outside India, even if parents are Residents of India.
  • Indian Citizen who has pursued studies for qualifying examination in any foreign / Indian syllabus outside India.
  • Indian citizen pursued studies for qualifying examination in foreign syllabi in India.

Note: If only condition 5 is satisfied, and not conditions 1 to 4 above,NRI student category fee will be applicable only for the first year.

The student can continue the fourth year to graduate with a BCom (Financial Analytics Honours) degree after successful completion of all the courses in the seventh and eighth semesters. The students who complete the fourth year/eighth semesters and satisfy the minimum credit requirement as per NEP guidelines will be awarded a BCom (Financial Analytics Honours) degree.

BCom (Financial Analytics Honours with Research)
Students will have the option to pursue BCom (Financial Honours with Research) in the fourth year instead of BCom (Financial Analytics Honours). The BCom Financial Analytics Honours with Research programme focuses on providing strong fundamental knowledge in research methodologies and analytics. Students who secure 75% marks and above in the first six semesters can choose this stream in the fourth year. They will be required to complete a research project or dissertation under the guidance of a faculty member of the University. The research project/dissertation will be in the major discipline. Students who secure 160 credits, including 12 credits from a research project/dissertation, will be awarded the BCom (Financial Analytics Honours with Research) degree.

ADMISSIONS FOR BCOM FINANCIAL ANALYTICS IS OPEN FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

Candidates are required to choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate smooth admission process. Admission must be processed at the Office of Admissions, Central Block, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Hosur Road, Bengaluru – 560029.

As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode. Payment options and details will be provided to selected candidates through ‘Offer of Admission’ on ‘Application status’ on the University website. Fees for first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

Admission will not be processed without the presence of the candidate and the mandatory ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and one set of photocopies mentioned below;

  • Class 10 Marks Statement (Mandatory).
  • Class 12 Marks Statement (Internet printout) (Mandatory).
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last qualified institution (Mandatory).
  • Migration Certificate of Class XII (applicable for all candidates except Maharashtra State Board) (Mandatory).
  • One Stamp size and One passport size photograph formal dress with white background (Mandatory).  
  • Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
  • Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt).
  • Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  • Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  • PIO / OCI have to produce the copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).      
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
  • Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process. An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing / passing their exam in March – June 2024], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before July 15, 2024. Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible” and admission will be terminated from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) without any claim.

All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card). The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after commencement of classes, including fee payment will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.
Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Pune, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Pune.
The date of commencement of the academic Year 2024 - 2025 will be intimated during the admission process.

ADMISSIONS FOR BCOM FINANCIAL ANALYTICS IS OPEN FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

All applicants using online mode must visit the online application page.  Register by entering your NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card) EMAIL-ID and set a password.  (The email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages).

Applications can be filled online prior to the declaration of class XII results and saved. Class XII marks can be entered only after verification of the self-attested internet printout of the XII results.

Guidelines to applicants:

  • To fill the application you must have a copy of the statement of marks of Class 10, Class 12 (Can be entered only after results are declared) (Mandatory).  
  • Fill in all the details on the “detailed application” page. Scan and upload a recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms formal dress with white background) and click “Submit”. On clicking Submit, a viewable and editable page will appear on the screen. In case you need to make any corrections you may edit the data/details and then click “Confirm Submission”.
  • The application registration fee may be paid through Credit/Debit Card/Net banking facility (for online applicants only).
  • Choose the payment option and fill in the required details to process the “Application processing fee”. The application will be submitted online after payment of the application processing fee.
  • After the payment is successful you will receive the application number with the option to save your application form (if filling the application prior to the declaration of class XII result).
  • Candidates must submit the filled-in application forms along with the supporting documents (duly self-attested) within 3 days of the declaration of Maharashtra HSC/ISC/CBSE results in-person/ Parents / Guardian. Applications not submitted to the Office of Admissions within 3 days from the declaration of class XII results (Maharastra PUC/CBSE/ISC) will not be considered for the merit list. Other Boards whose results may be declared after the above-mentioned Boards will be considered subject to the availability of seats.
  • No application will be considered if submitted by COURIER or POST.
  • Documents to be submitted in Person / Parents / Guardian:
  • Photocopy of Class 10 Marks Card (Mandatory).    
  • Internet copy of Class 12 Marks Card self-attested (Mandatory).
  • Valid Category Certificate (For candidates from Maharastra PU applying under various categories) (Mandatory).

  • Registration Payment Receipt from ICAI (Applicable for BCom F & A only).
  • 1 recent passport size and 1 stamp size photographs in formal dress of (Photo size of 35mm x 45mm with white background only - Standard Indian Passport Format only). The application may be rejected if the photograph is not according to the specification.
  • Copy of signed application form. Keep a copy of the application form for further reference.

Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:

ADMISSIONS FOR BCOM FINANCIAL ANALYTICS IS OPEN FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

Time of Payment : All the candidates have to pay the I Year fee immediately after confirmation of the admission. II, II, III & IV Year fee must be remitted before 31 March of every year (end of financial year)

It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for three years, there may be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.

1. Indian nationals pursuing international curriculum in India, will pay the fee applicable for NRI status for the first year. Indian citizens who have studied foreign syllabi in India for the qualifying examination (applying for UG / PG / MPhil / PhD Programme has to be approved by UGC / AIU).

(The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).

2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;

  • Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
  • Are NRI and candidates who have applied under NRI category.

3. To claim Indian category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO and Foreign Nationals).

4. Admission registration fee of INR 5000/- is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of admission. This fee will be apart from cancellation charges if any applicable.   

5. Application Fee for Inter/Foreign is USD 100                  

6. All Candidates If “Selected” after appearing for the final selection process, The fee may be paid through the following option:

  •     Payment can made through Net banking / NEFT / RTGS
  •     Payment / Transfer of fees does not guarantee the admission.

The BCom programme provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and various specialized operations such as accounting, finance, marketing and human resource by offering a comprehensive curriculum.
The three year BCom degree programme is divided into six semesters and is designed as per the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) model curriculum prescribed by UGC. It includes core papers, discipline specific electives, generic electives and skill enhancement courses. Discipline specific electives offered in the fifth and the sixth semesters. The blend of the courses to the analytics curriculum is the highlight of the program.

 

 

The Bachelors of Commerce program at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is designed in such a way that students will acquire knowledge and skills to face the demands of ever-changing business and financial environments, develop a penchant to critically analyze emerging business issues and interpret specifics from huge mass of financial data. The BCom Programmes is spread over six semesters comprising majorly of core courses in Commerce embedded with Analytical Courses like Introduction to Business Analytics, Data Visualization software, Basics of R programming which also form a significant part of the course. The course offers discipline-specific mandatory courses, including Applied Excel and Financial modelling geared towards the analysis of financial data. Inter-disciplinary open electives, skills enhancement programs certified by Moody’s Analytics, projects and internships are other unique features of the program. Projects and internships are in line with the course to give a first-hand experience of the business world to the students.

 

ADMISSIONS FOR BCOM FINANCIAL ANALYTICS IS OPEN FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

  • Selection for the programme will be based on the performance in class XII.  After processing the Application forms of candidates whose supporting documents are submitted to the office within 3 days of the declaration of the class XII result (Maharashtra HSC/ISC/CBSE), the cut off percentage will be declared and displayed on the University notice board/University website. No postal/telephonic/e-mail communication will be given from the University. Other Boards whose results may be declared after the above mentioned Boards will be considered subject to availability of seats. The University does not authorize any individual or organization to operate on its behalf.
  • Candidate will be intimated through appstat link: http://applavasa.christuniversity.in/ on the University website www.lavasa.christuniversity.in. No other communication will be made.   
  • Candidates failing to submit the application within the stipulated date and time will be considered as “Not Selected”.   
  • Candidates not submitting the category certificate from the concerned Maharashtra authorities will fall under general merit.   
  • Only Natives of Maharashtra, who can produce relevant documents from their Parish Priest/Pastor, will be considered under “CHRISTIANITY CATHOLIC” and “CHRISTIANITY NON-CATHOLIC” category.   
  • BCom Regular Programme classes are held from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM. Students applying to BCom shall give an undertaking that, they do not intend to pursue CA programme (The new pattern of CA programme enables article ship immediately after the CPT and hence students cannot attend the regular BCom classes).
