The Criminal Law Studies Committee of the School of Law is organizing the second edition of a two-day workshop on trial advocacy on the 13th and 14th of August, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The workshop will be conducted under the guidance of Mr. Simarjeet Singh Satia, a practicing advocate at the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India. This workshop will extensively cover the procedural and practical aspects of conducting a trial and the various nuances that follow. The workshop will start with a guest lecture, followed by sessions on "How a Trial Takes Place in Court," "The Code of Conduct of the Court," and finally, "Hands-on with a Problem." The workshop aims to attract participants from all batches of the School of Law. It will help students gain knowledge about the intricacies of the complex criminal law system in our nation and the jurisprudence behind it. Additionally, it will offer participants constructive feedback on their advocacy skills and strategies for improvement.
