CHRIST Lavasa Campus, Pune

A Safe Home for Learning, Growth and Wellbeing

Embraced by the lush Sahyadri hills, our campus is a safe, caring home away from home, where every student's wellbeing comes first.

At CHRIST Lavasa, every student is warmly supported through the moments that matter, with caring wardens and counsellors always within reach and ready to listen, whenever they are needed.

The setting

Life in Lavasa. A Place to Grow.

The Lavasa township and lakefront in the Sahyadri hills of the Western Ghats

For our students, Lavasa is the place where the University finally feels like a safe, healthy home. Set in the peaceful Sahyadri hills, it gives them room to breathe between classes, with calm mornings, engaging activities, and a lake nearby that catches the evening light. Here, a relaxing walk by the water is part of an ordinary evening, not just the weekend. The hills and the lakefront are woven into daily life, supporting real wellbeing, and most of the campus is close enough to reach safely on foot.

The campus sits within Lavasa, a peaceful, well-planned hill township in the Western Ghats with its own wide roads and dedicated township security, and it quickly becomes a place our students genuinely, safely call home — a place to grow.

Everyday life

Campus Life

Life at CHRIST Lavasa is built around caring connection: classes in the morning, meals shared with people who begin as strangers and rarely stay that way for long. Evenings often turn into study groups, club meetings, or cultural evenings filled with music, dance, and sport, and a safe, scheduled bus service keeps the residences and academic blocks connected throughout the day, making the campus a secure, welcoming space for every student to plan, grow and thrive.

What we value most is how quickly this becomes a caring community. Friendships form over shared meals and late nights of study, and faculty, wardens and counsellors know their students well enough to notice when a little extra care would help.

Whenever support is needed, it does not require a formal process. It is a short walk, or a phone call, away.

Centre for Counselling and Health Services

Counselling & Wellbeing

Every student's emotional wellbeing and mental health matter to us as much as their academic life. Settling into a new place takes time, and the Centre for Counselling and Health Services (CCHS) is here, warmly, throughout that journey. CCHS offers an everyday space to talk — open for the ordinary conversations of student life just as much as for the bigger ones. From adjusting to campus, to friendships, to academic pace, there is always a caring counsellor here to support you.

Every student has their own counsellor, assigned to their department, and reaching them never needs a form or a reason. A student may walk in directly or be warmly referred by a faculty member, and either way receives exactly the same caring attention. Conversations stay unconditional, impartial and strictly confidential.

Medication comes at no extra cost through the SHINE wellness programme, and for any specialised care, students are quickly connected with Apollo Hospitals.

Are parents informed during a medical emergency?

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, completely. Conversations at the Centre for Counselling and Health Services are unconditional, impartial and strictly confidential. A counsellor is assigned to every school, and any student — whether they walk in directly or are warmly referred by faculty — receives exactly the same caring attention.

Hostels & residential life

Is hostel accommodation mandatory for first-year students?

Yes. Every first-year undergraduate begins their journey living in the University residences, so each new student starts the year within a warmly supervised, supportive environment, with a caring warden always close by.

Who supervises the residences?

Caring resident wardens live on site in every residence and are the first, friendly point of contact at any hour, with resident women wardens looking after the women’s residences. They work closely alongside the security team and the counselling centre all year round.

What security arrangements are in place at the residences?

Every residence is watched over by CCTV and regular, caring security patrols, with wardens completing gentle night rounds across all blocks. Attendance is warmly checked twice a day, morning and night, and residence gates are safely secured each evening — at CHRIST Residence, for example, by 10:30 PM — so every student is accounted for and safe.

Is Wi-Fi available in the hostels?

Yes. Wi-Fi for laptops and tablets is available in the common rooms of Christ Residence, Celebration and Ashiana, set up to support focused, comfortable study time.

Are housekeeping and maintenance services provided?

Yes. Housekeeping runs twice a week in every residence, and any maintenance need is looked after within a day. A student simply lets their warden or the residence desk know, and our campus services take care of the rest.

Are laundry facilities available on campus?

Yes. Convenient laundry is available on campus twice a week, at a minimal charge for the academic year — one more everyday comfort our campus services take care of, so students can keep their focus on their studies.

Electric kettles and iron boxes are welcome in hostel rooms, covering most everyday needs. To keep every residence electrically safe and worry-free, we keep to these simple, safety-friendly appliances across all of the residential buildings.

Is there a mess facility on campus?

Yes. All students enjoy freshly prepared vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals at the University Canteen throughout the academic year, and shared kitchens are also available in the residential communities for anything a student would like to make themselves.

How do I contact the hostel team?

Our caring campus care line, +91 89567 12864, is answered at any hour of the day or night. For everyday questions, our campus helpline at +91 89567 12860 and our hostel team at hosteladmin.lavasa@christuniversity.in are always happy to help, any time of year.

How does CHRIST Lavasa keep new students safe from ragging?

A warden, a counsellor, or the campus care line at +91 89567 12864 — whichever feels most comfortable. Every conversation is heard with care and responded to quickly, with security and support available around the clock.

Are emergency services available at night?

Yes. Our campus care line is answered at any hour, and a caring resident warden on call is reachable right through the night. The health centre remains ready to support on-campus medical needs, and wardens also complete regular, reassuring night rounds across every residential block.

Common questions

FAQs & Contact

Answers to the questions parents and students ask us most often about campus life, the residences and student support at CHRIST Lavasa. Tap a question to open it.

Emergency, health & counselling

What should a student do in an emergency?

Our campus care line at +91 89567 12864 is answered at any hour and instantly connects a student to security, medical and hostel support together. A warden, a security officer or a counsellor is also always nearby to help directly.

What happens if a student falls ill?

Our Apollo SHINE health centre provides caring, on-campus medical support, with qualified doctors and nurses ready for immediate attention and first aid. Medication comes at no extra cost through the SHINE wellness programme, and for any specialised care, students are quickly connected with Apollo Hospitals.

Are parents informed during a medical emergency?

Yes, always. A student is cared for right away, and parents are called and kept warmly updated every step of the way. The resident warden on call is reachable at any hour, so a family always has someone caring to speak with directly.

Is transport provided from the residences to the campus?

Yes. A complimentary, reliable bus service runs morning and evening between Ashiana, Club View and Portofino and the Central and Management blocks, safely carrying every resident student to and from the academic campus each day, at no cost at all.

Is safe drinking water available in the residences?

Yes. Purified RO drinking water is available in every residence, at all times of day, supporting the health and wellbeing of every student who calls it home.

What appliances are permitted in the hostels?

Safety, conduct & access

What support is in place for women students?

Our women’s residences are looked after by resident women wardens living on site, always ready to help at any hour. Women counsellors and trained peer educators offer warm, confidential support, and the Internal Complaints Committee is always available to keep every interaction on campus safe and respectful.

How does CHRIST Lavasa keep new students safe from ragging?

CHRIST Lavasa is proud to be a warm, respectful community for every student, fully aligned with UGC regulations from the moment of admission. The Anti-Ragging Committee, the Anti-Ragging Squad and the Internal Complaints Committee work together every day to keep this promise, and a warden, a counsellor, the campus care line, or the national UGC helpline at 1800-180-5522 are always ready to help if a student ever wants to talk.

Who can a student talk to about anything else on their mind?

A warden, a counsellor, or the campus care line at +91 89567 12864 — whichever feels most comfortable. Every conversation is heard with care and responded to quickly, with security and support available around the clock.

Are emergency services available at night?

Yes. Our campus care line is answered at any hour, and a caring resident warden on call is reachable right through the night. The health centre remains ready to support on-campus medical needs, and wardens also complete regular, reassuring night rounds across every residential block.

Who can support accessibility requirements?

The Centre for Counselling and Health Services is always the first, welcoming point of contact for any student. Counsellors work closely with differently-abled students from admission through to graduation, coordinating with the Examination Office so every entitled provision is in place.
