The Centre for Counselling and Health Services (CCHS) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, is a dedicated initiative aimed at nurturing the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of the student and staff community. It serves as a pillar of support, offering professional guidance and accessible services to ensure that every individual on campus can thrive both personally and academically.
CCHS functions as a safe, confidential, and inclusive space where students can express their concerns and seek assistance from trained counselors. One-on-one counselling sessions help students navigate academic pressure, emotional distress, homesickness, interpersonal challenges, and adjustment issues. The Centre also conducts preventive programmes such as wellness workshops, awareness sessions, peer support initiatives, and group engagements that encourage resilience, emotional intelligence, and personal growth.
In addition to counselling, CCHS also coordinates essential health services on campus. Basic medical aid is provided through first-aid support and consultations, and in cases requiring specialised care, referrals are made to trusted nearby healthcare providers. Health-related awareness programmes and routine check-ups are also organised to promote a culture of physical well-being. The Centre ensures a timely response and appropriate action in the event of medical concerns or emergencies.
Through its integrated approach, CCHS plays a crucial role in building a supportive and compassionate university environment—one that values both mental and physical wellness as foundations for student success
