TESTIMONIALS

Peer Education Batch 5 is one of the most special chapters of my CHRIST journey. In a campus as quiet and isolated as ours, finding a safe and understanding space felt rare and this program became exactly that. Every session gently shaped me, teaching me to listen without judgment, speak with kindness, and hold space for others with patience. What started as structured discussions soon became moments of genuine connection. The people I met weren’t just peers; they became a family who encouraged growth, understanding, and compassion. Through shared laughter, thoughtful silences, and honest conversations, I learned to approach others with empathy and openness. Batch 5 did not only train me as a peer educator; it transformed the way I see and respond to people around me. This experience will always remain close to my heart, carrying its lessons far beyond Lavasa.

From someone hesitant to speak to others during their hard times to someone approaching others when she finds people feeling low, yes, that’s what peer education has taught me. I was part of the Peer Education Batch 5 training organised by CCHS, and it has been a truly enriching journey. Throughout the entire training session, I learned about mental health, resilience, leadership, and other essential life skills that have helped me in my personal growth. From striking our confidence pose on stage to having sound bath sessions, I felt that everything was a healing process. I also received personal mentorship from Mrs. Munira Ma’am and Ms. Victoria Ma’am, which helped me to also reflect on what I learned. I’ve also realized that the most valuable support we can offer to someone going through a hard time isn’t advice, but simply listening. Looking back, I’ve come a long way from someone who had only thought about herself to someone who at least now tries to think about others. I know I still have not mastered anything that I’ve learnt, but I sure have improved and will keep growing.

Being a part of the Peer Educator sessions has been a transformative journey. I have learned the importance of empathy, active listening, and emotional intelligence. The sessions taught me how to manage stress, maintain healthy relationships, and communicate effectively in personal and professional spaces. Understanding boundaries, self-awareness, and mental well-being gave me the tools to deal with real-life challenges more confidently. What stood out was the safe space we created, where every voice mattered. These learnings have helped me become more patient, supportive, and mindful in my interactions. It is not just theory, it's practical wisdom I now apply daily. The overall insight I gained is that leadership isn’t about authority, but about understanding, guiding, and uplifting others. This experience has helped me grow holistically, emotionally, and socially. It’s not just a session, it’s a life skill I’ll carry forward with gratitude.
